Terms of Service
These are the terms you agree to by using Trenchcoat. We have kept them in plain language, because terms you cannot read are not terms you can agree to.
Last updated 11 August 2026
The service
Trenchcoat, operated by Pando, ingests telemetry from AI coding agents and presents it as analytics. These terms cover the hosted service at trenchcoat.io and app.trenchcoat.io, and the companion plugin you install locally.
Beta status — read this one
Trenchcoat is in beta and free to use. That has consequences worth stating rather than burying: features may change or be withdrawn, there is no uptime commitment, and while we take care with your data you should not treat Trenchcoat as your only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. When we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before anything you use starts costing money.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secure. An API key can record the contents of your development sessions, so treat one like a password: do not commit it, and revoke it in the dashboard if it may have been exposed. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you may not share one account between people who should not see each other's data.
Your data stays yours
You keep all rights to the telemetry and content you send us. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: storing it, processing it into the analytics you asked for, and showing it back to you and to anyone you deliberately share it with. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models. What we collect and who processes it is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use Trenchcoat to break the law, to attack the service or other customers, to attempt to reach data that is not yours, or to resell the service as your own. Do not send us data you have no right to send — in particular, if you are recording sessions belonging to other people, that is your responsibility to have arranged, not ours.
Ending it
You can stop using Trenchcoat whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing support@pando.codes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable-use terms above, or that threatens the service for other customers. If we ever discontinue Trenchcoat, we will give account holders notice and a way to export their data first.
No warranty, and limits on liability
Trenchcoat is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its analytics are correct for any particular decision you make from them. To the fullest extent the law allows, Pando is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will update the date on this page, and for changes that materially reduce your rights we will notify account holders rather than relying on you re-reading this page. Continuing to use Trenchcoat after a change means you accept the updated terms.
